Meyer Sound engaged with Anvil Studios for the front bezel design of their D-Mitri line of rack-mounted digital audio processors. Quick set-up and rapid relocation is as important as visually communicating Meyer Sound Lab’s brand attributes of confidence, reliability and performance. To prevent accidental setting changes during setup, take down, and show time, D-Mitri products are intentionally devoid of any physical user inputs, having relocated all controls to a remote computer.

This departure from buttons and LED’s allowed Anvil Studios to explore a variety of clean, bold, and sculptural design themes. Low volume manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and anodizing of billet aluminum were utilized to create a design that visually communicates precision and elegance. Furthermore, all of the core details such as venting, power, and branding were integrated cleanly within the bold horizontal design presented across the front face. When D-Mitri is stacked in a rack mount these elements work together in repetition to create a unified and precise statement.
