Anvil Concepts 3D Printed Face Shield

Anvil Studios has joined the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. We are fabricating face shields for our nurses, doctors, and first responders who are in desperate need of PPE. Huge thank you to all who are working the front line keeping us safe!!!

We were inspired to take action by the good people at Markforged after they published a build file of a face mask brim + instructions for fabricating the face shield, forehead cushion, and elastic band. We quickly built a hand full and got them out. But that wasn’t enough. Being the driven designers that we are we weren’t satisfied. The original build time was too long and needed a bit of a facelift. So we reverse engineered the brim to double our build capacity with our Markforged Onyx printer and made the forms a bit more cohesive. Our production line is all set up now and we are printing around the clock 7 days a week. We can only produce 28 face shields per week, and that’s a modest amount, but every bit helps so they say.
