Power A GamePad for iPad

The PowerA GamePad concept is a minimalistic cradle that presents, powers, and connects an iPad or iPhone to a flat panel TV for family gaming. It was intended to expand the way a family interacts with Apple’s revolutionary devices.

Early creative explorations determined the design should not draw unwanted attention from the overall experience, and therefore should not relate to traditional gaming hardware aesthetics. Anvil focused its design efforts in proportions, minimalism, and elegance in favor of visually relating to and reinforcing Apple’s minimalist design approach. The mirror polished top surface is inspired by glass and intentionally juxtaposed by the underside’s over-molded, non-skid base to create an elegant balance of function and beauty.
