Cellares :: Cell Q
Cellares is the world leader in industrial scale cell therapy manufacturing. Right on the heels of the completion of the Cellares Cell Shuttle V1 cell therapy mass production machine, Cellars asked Anvil Studios to design their Cell Q. A fully automated, scalable, cell therapy QC platform. The Cell Q brings together several off the shelf standard QC instruments under one roof for high-throughput quality control of batches for use in the Cell Shuttles’ cell therapy. This allows scientists and lab workers to focus on other tasks, leaving the monotonous and routine quality control to the automated instruments.
The Cell Q is the first major test of the Cellares design language, and is a departure from the previous design explorations in terms of size and proportions. A compact footprint was necessary due to lab environments premium of real estate. Instrument bay access, screen interface, button placement, and interior access for routine maintenance all drove the design from a functional and user interaction standpoint. The Tron-style LED lighting is carried over from the other family products to provide machine status from all angles, as well as continue the sci-fi ambience. CMF + branding also help draw a direct visual relationship between the designs.
