Cellares :: Cell Shuttle V1

Cellares is the world leader in industrial scale cell therapy manufacturing. Cellares, having worked through a laundry list of refinements to the R2, once again reached out  to Anvil Studios to design and develop the Cell Shuttle V1; the first commercially manufactured automated closed end-to-end cell therapy manufacturing instrument to be deployed globally. If the Cell Shuttle R1/R2 are the sizzle, the V1 is the steak. 

The design brief was clear; the Cell Shuttle V1 is to be a workhorse for cell therapy manufacturing. Keep the design language of the R1/R2, but evolve it in such a way as to reconfigure the machine for maximum throughput. If the R1/R2 was the scout ship for discovering new worlds, the V1 was the landing craft to establish a permanent base. The “greenhouse” was removed in order to increase the number of instrument bays. The refrigeration bay was redesigned again for even higher throughput. And the overall footprint increased for added internal components, robots, and storage. 

The iconic bulkhead, CMF + branding were all retained for familiarity, and to help reinforce the family design language. Tron-style LED lights strips and light rings communicate machine status from all angles, and provide a call-to-action for user experience touch points.
