Anvil Studios, based in Seattle, WA, partnered with PowerA to design the Nintendo 3DS Wrap-Around Headset, a premium in-ear headphone solution tailored to align with the iconic 3DS design language. The headset features clean, squared geometry with duo-toned finishes, subtle chamfers, and undercuts to reflect Nintendo’s distinctive styling. Designed concurrently with the 3DS Headphone Project, it incorporates a removable microphone boom and replaceable silicone ear buds in three sizes for personalized comfort. With a 13mm driver for robust sound performance, the headset connects directly to the 3DS or through a user control module, drawing functional and aesthetic inspiration from reference products like the Sennheiser PMX80 and Motorola S9.
