Safeguard COMPASS PRO
The Safeguard COMPASS Pro is a personal voltage and current detector (PVCD) that provides both preventative and reactive safety measures for workers in high-risk environments. It integrates hardware detection with a cell-phone-based software interface, offering 360° proximity awareness of electrical threats and sending immediate alerts to designated contacts in case of an incident.
Anvil Studios was engaged to refine the design of the next-generation Safeguard Compass Pro, a wearable personal voltage and current detector, with a focus on enhancing its visual and ergonomic appeal without departing significantly from the established product architecture—given the project’s near-completion status. The brief called for a balance between rugged durability and sleek sophistication, drawing aesthetic inspiration from high-end medical devices. The resulting design needed to communicate robustness and reliability for industrial use while maintaining a contemporary, streamlined form that aligns with cutting-edge wearable technology.
