Power A :: Nintendo 3DS InLine UI Module

Anvil Studios, based in Seattle, WA, collaborated with PowerA to design the Nintendo 3DS InLine User Interface Module, a compact accessory that enhances headset functionality for the 3DS gaming system. The project focused on developing a standalone module with a 3-inch cable tail that plugs directly into the front of the 3DS, allowing users to connect headsets via a 3.5mm jack. Designed to stylistically align with the squircle-based, duo-toned 3DS headset created by Anvil in October 2010, the module features clean, square geometry, subtle chamfers, and slight undercuts for a modern, integrated look. Functionally, it includes controls for power, overall volume, mic-to-game audio balance, and a mute switch, all powered by a single AAA battery, providing a user-friendly multimedia experience for 3DS gamers.
